If you do not have any video conference or telepresence systems then you may wish to hire equipment for specific events. 

You may also find yourself dealing with customers or suppliers who use video and expect you to join their meetings.  Rental gives you the opportunity to participate in these conferences without investing capital in equipment.

Sometimes you don’t have enough telepresence equipment in the right places at the right time.  If this is a temporary requirement then it makes sense to rent additional systems for the event rather than buying or relocating existing systems.
